Introduction:
The umbrella Central Sector Scheme of this Ministry called the "Scheme to Promote Voluntary Action for Persons with Disabilities" was revised w.e.f. 01.04.2003 and was renamed as the "Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS)". However, while revision of the scheme took place in 2003, the cost norms of 1999 had remained unchanged. The revision of the cost norms has become imperative to compensate for the price rise.

Training Centers For Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Power Tex India is a new scheme launched by Indian Government in 2017 for the Powerloom sector. The scheme is an effective move to push the powerloom sector across the country and to spread it globally. The ministry of textile launched Power Tex India Scheme in all powerloom centers across the country.

Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana: A central Government Scheme to provide Assistive Living Devices to Senior Citizens.

Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana is a central government scheme for senior citizens living below the poverty line. Through this scheme the central government offer free living assistive devices to senior citizens belong to BPL families to make their lives easy.

Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDSA), A Central Government Scheme.

The Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDSA) being initiated under Digital India Programme would cover 6 crore households in rural areas to make them digitally literate. This would empower the citizens by providing them access to information, knowledge and skills for operating computers / digital access devices.

Bharat Ke Veer: A new web Portal and App for Helping Families of Martyrs. A government of India Initiative. The web portal bharatkeveer.gov.in or Bharat Ke Veer is a new web Portal launched by the central government for the general public to make donations to the families of martyrs and soldiers of Indian Armed forces. Using the bharatkeveer.gov.in portal, anyone who wish to contribute to support the families of martyrs can donate online.

National Pension System and its benefits after retirement:
Government of India established Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA)- External website that opens in a new window on 10th October, 2003 to develop and regulate pension sector in the country. The National Pension System (NPS) was launched on 1st January, 2004 with the objective of providing retirement income to all the citizens. NPS aims to institute pension reforms and to inculcate the habit of saving for retirement amongst the citizens.

India is home to more than 24 Crore households out of which about 10 Crore households are still deprived of LPG as cooking fuel and have to rely on firewood, coal, dung – cakes etc. as primary source of cooking. The smoke from burning such fuels causes alarming household pollution and adversely affects the health of Women & children causing several respiratory diseases/ disorders. As per a WHO report, smoke inhaled by women from unclean fuel is equivalent to burning 400 cigarettes in an hour. In addition, women and children have to go through the drudgery of collecting firewood.
