• The target was an ISIS tunnel in Afghanistan.
• The use of the bomb, now confirmed in the US, is the first time EVER.
• The GBU-43 bomb weighs 21,600 pounds, is 30 feet long and contains 11 tons of explosives.
• Sources said the bomb dropped is known as an MOAB - mother of all bombs.
• The blast radius is believed to be over 300 meters.
• The bomb, known as the GBU-43B, is a 21,000 lb giant.

National Pension System and its benefits after retirement:
Government of India established Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA)- External website that opens in a new window on 10th October, 2003 to develop and regulate pension sector in the country. The National Pension System (NPS) was launched on 1st January, 2004 with the objective of providing retirement income to all the citizens. NPS aims to institute pension reforms and to inculcate the habit of saving for retirement amongst the citizens.

India is home to more than 24 Crore households out of which about 10 Crore households are still deprived of LPG as cooking fuel and have to rely on firewood, coal, dung – cakes etc. as primary source of cooking. The smoke from burning such fuels causes alarming household pollution and adversely affects the health of Women & children causing several respiratory diseases/ disorders. As per a WHO report, smoke inhaled by women from unclean fuel is equivalent to burning 400 cigarettes in an hour. In addition, women and children have to go through the drudgery of collecting firewood.
