 Government through the Budget Speech 2015 announced three ambitious Social Security Schemes pertaining to the Insurance and Pension Sectors, namely Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and an the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) to move towards creating a universal social security system, targeted especially for the poor and the under-privileged.

Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana (AABY) Scheme introduced by the Govt. of India to extend death and disability insurance cover to rural landless houseless of J&K State through Life Insurance corporation of India (LIC).

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana in Haryana. A central Government Scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana a central government scheme has been launched by the state government of Haryana to provided accidental insurance cover to all citizens of Haryana. Under this scheme, the government will provide an insurance amount upto Rs. 2 lakh each insured candidate in case of accidental death, and disability (complete/half loss of eye-sight or loss of both hands/feet) due to an accident.
