Introduction

• The “Central Government Health Scheme” (CGHS) provides comprehensive health care facilities for the Central Govt. employees and pensioners and their dependents residing in CGHS covered cities. Started in New Delhi in 1954, Central Govt.

Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana (AABY) Scheme introduced by the Govt. of India to extend death and disability insurance cover to rural landless houseless of J&K State through Life Insurance corporation of India (LIC).

Free Health Checkup for Pregnant Women -Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA). A Central Government Initiative.

Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan or Yojana is a new initiative of the Narendra Modi Government to provide free medical checkup to the pregnant women assuring their good health and birth of a healthy child. It is launched on June 9, 2016.
