PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE MINORITY COMMUNITIES. A GOVERNMENT OF INDIA SCHEME.

The Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities was announced
in June, 2006. It provides that a pre-matric scholarship scheme for meritorious students from
minority communities would be implemented.

Interest Subsidy for Educational Loans for students. A Central Government Scheme.

Central government in collaboration with the scheduled banks under the Educational Loan Scheme of the lndian Banks' Association is providing lnterest Subsidy for the period of moratorium on Educational Loans taken by students from Economically Weaker Sections to pursue Technical Professional Education studies in India.

Post Matric Scholarship for Students of Jammu and Kashmir. A state and central government initiative.

Post Matric Scholarship is given to the students in order to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). A central government initiative.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) was launched on 25th December 2000 as a fully funded Centrally Sponsored Scheme to provide all weather road connectivity in rural areas of the country. The programme envisages connecting all habitations with a population of 500 persons and above in the plain areas and 250 persons and above in hill States, the tribal and the desert areas. 2. According to latest figures made available by the State Governments under a survey to identify Core Network as part of the PMGSY programme, about 1.67 lakh Unconnected Habitations are eligible for coverage under the programme. This involves construction of about 3.71 lakh km. of roads for New Connectivity and 3.68 lakh km. under upgradation. 

The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), was launched by the Govt. of India to provide connectivity to unconnected Habitations as part of a poverty reduction strategy. Govt. of India is endeavoring to set high and uniform technical and management standards and facilitating policy development and planning at State level in order to ensure sustainable management of the rural roads network.

All Terrain Bike (ATB) Cycle Scheme. A government of Jammu an Kashmir scheme for Meritorious students in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir government has announced the launch of All Terrain Bike (ATB) programme after the ‘Scooty’ scheme for girls. The scheme is for meritorious boys of lower economic group. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, announced the launch of All Terrain Bike (ATB) scheme for meritorious boys on the pattern of Scooty Scheme for the girl students.

SAMPADA Scheme (Scheme for Agro-Marine Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters). A government of India scheme.

The food processing industries ministry launched this scheme, Sampada, for agro-marine produce processing and development of agro-processing clusters, with an aim to reduce food wastage and ensure farmers get remunerative prices.
