The Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities was announced in June, 2006. It provides that a post-matric scholarship scheme for meritorious students from minority communities would be implemented. 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) TO HELP/SIMPLIFY ONLINE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS UNDER PRE­MATRIC, POST MATRIC AND MERIT CUM MEANS BASED SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES FOR MINORITIES.

OBJECTIVE OF SCHEME
The scholarship at pre-matric level will encourage parents from minority communities to send their school going children to school, lighten their financial burden on school education and sustain their efforts to support their children to complete school education.

 The Union cabinet on Wednesday approved the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission for higher allowances, including house rent allowance (HRA).

MERIT CUM MEANS BASED SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE MINORITY COMMUNITIES. A CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SCHEME.

Through this scheme Financial assistance will be given to pursue graduate level or post graduate level technical and professional courses from a recognized institution.

 

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme. A J&K State Government Scheme.

Under the Scheme Scholarships are provided for the benefit of the Children belonging to Schedule Caste, Physically Handicapped and Other Backward Class and to the children whose parents are engaged in unclean occupation. 

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme. A J&K State Government Scheme.

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Schedule Caste students, OBCs and physically handicapped students studying at Post Matriculation or Post Secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.

Post Matric Scholarship for Minority. A J&K State Government Scheme.

The objective of the Scheme is to award Scholarships to Meritorious Students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections of Minority Community so as to provide them better opportunities for Higher Education, increase their rate of Attainment in Higher Education and enhance their Employability. Under this Scheme 30% of Scholarship is earmarked for Female Students. In case sufficient number of eligible Female Student are not available, then the balance earmarked scholarship may be awarded to eligible Male Students. 

Pre-matric Scholarship to Minority Students. A J&K State government Scheme.

Post Matric Scheme of Merit Cum Means for Minority Students. A J&K State Scheme.

The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses.
Rate of Scholarship.

Contributory Social Security Scheme for marginal workers. A State Government Scheme.

The Department of Social Welfare Department has launched a scheme “Contributory Social Security Scheme” for marginal workers to provide them social security. Under the scheme Rs. 100/- is contributed by the Govt. and equal amount by the beneficiaries and account is opened for the period of 10 years. After completion of this period the beneficiary can withdraw accumulated amount along with interest. 

Financial Assistance to Gad Hanjis. A J&K State Government Scheme.

In Financial Assistance to Gad Hanjis scheme, License holders are provided nylon twine in shape of financial assistance. 

Prosthetic Aid Scheme for Handicapped Persons. A J&K State Scheme.

The handicapped persons are being prosthetic aid in the shape of aids and appliances. Sanctioning Authority Distt. Level Committee headed by DDC, Member Secretary is DSWO and CMO is Member.
